Zephyrus g15 charging port overheating

My asus zephyrus g15 (rtx 3070 ti i think its 2022 model) suddenly started overheating like crazy around the charging port area whenever I plug in the cable. Also something to note is that the laptop is now annoying to charge and any slight movement of the cable can stop the charging process. The port and charger pin get so hot that I actually burned my finger trying to get it out only 20 minutes into charging it. Im not sure what would have caused this other than that I recently re enabled armory crate services after having disabled it for a week.
